The 2019 4th International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Signal Processing (ICSP 2019) will be held in Xi'an, China during March 29-31, 2019. The conference was co-sponsored by Xi'an Petroleum University and AEIC Academic Exchange Center.

Yuan Wei and Yu Ying, second-year graduate students of our laboratory, were invited to attend the conference and gave a report entitled "Research on Multi-fault-tolerant MDS Array Erasure Code" at the conference.

To solve the problem of low fault tolerance of MDS array codes, a class of multi-fault tolerant MDS array codes is proposed, called RA code.

As mentioned in the report, the RA codes have high encoding efficiency, and the encoding and decoding process only requires binary XOR operations. Its construction method is simple and easy to be realized by hardware and software. And RA code is a kind of MDS code, which has the best storage efficiency. There are no strict restrictions on the size of storage array, which conforms to the scalability of distributed storage system.The papers will be published by Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS)(ISSN:1742-6588)and will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus and CPCI for indexing.
