On 26th May 2024, the School of Software Engineering made a big splash in the 2024 Chengdu University of Information Technology Sports League, and with a series of outstanding performances, they were finally crowned the champions, achieving three consecutive championships with excellent results. The competition not only demonstrated their sports skills and teamwork spirit but also added a touch of glory to the college.
In the group match on 12th May, the School of Software Engineering beat the School of Management and the School of Blockchain with an absolute advantage of 3:0 and entered the knockout match smoothly. In these two matches, the players of the School of Software Engineering cooperated well with each other and performed well in both attack and defence, firmly controlling the rhythm of the matches.
On 19th May, the School of Software Engineering played their first match of the knockout round against the School of Atmosphere. With their usual stable play and strong offensive and defensive strengths, the School of Software Engineering once again won easily with a score of 3:0. Then in the semi-final match on 25th May, they faced the strong School of Applied Mathematics and still maintained their good performance, advancing to the final match with a score of 3:0.
The final was held on 26th May against the School of Communication Engineering, which had also performed well. The atmosphere of the final was tense and intense, with players from both sides giving their best to compete for the championship. However, with excellent teamwork and strong technical skills, the School of Software Engineering defeated the School of Communication Engineering with an absolute advantage of 3:0 and finally took the championship trophy.
In this competition, our players showed excellent sportsmanship and the power of unity and cooperation. This victory is not only proof of their own strength but also the best interpretation of the spirit of teamwork and perseverance. We are very proud of the Software Engineering volleyball team and expect them to continue to achieve brilliance in future matches!
