The School of Software Engineering Secures Remarkable Achievements at the 2025 University Sports Meeting

To promote the spirit of sportsmanship, the 2025 Track and Field Games & Faculty Fun Sports Meeting of Chengdu University of Information Technology was grandly held at the university’s athletics field from November 8 to 9, 2025. Faculty and students of the School of Software Engineering actively participated, throwing themselves into various events with full enthusiasm and high morale.

At the opening ceremony, the School of Software Engineering’s honor guard marched with unwavering strides, radiating vitality and embodying the youthful dynamism of the school’s students. The college also staged a meticulously choreographed dance titled Battle Hymn of Bi Cang, delivering a powerful performance to rally all athletes.

During the event, all competitions unfolded in an orderly fashion amid a vibrant atmosphere. On the track, athletes sprinted at full tilt like arrows released from the bowstring. In the field events, long jumpers launched themselves into the air, tracing graceful arcs, while high jumpers pushed their limits to achieve personal breakthroughs. Over at the faculty fun sports venue, teachers showcased their skills and unique charm. From the stands, cheers echoed continuously, infusing the stadium with a steady stream of vitality.

In the individual student events, the School of Software Engineering’s competitors rose to the challenge and delivered outstanding performances. Luo Shiyou claimed sixth place in the men’s 400-meter dash, Li Xin finished fourth in the women’s 100-meter sprint, Xue Jingwen secured eighth place in the women’s triple jump, Yue Xudong took third place in the men’s 200-meter dash, Liu Jiayi earned third place in the women’s 800-meter run, and Zhao Yutong ranked sixth in the men’s high jump.

In the student team events, members demonstrated strong unity and seamless collaboration. The women’s 4×100-meter relay team (Li Xin, Liu Jiayi, Guo Xixi, Pan Yani) claimed fifth place, the women’s 4×400-meter relay team (Wang Hongmei, Guo Xixi, Zong Ran, Wang Biyan) finished sixth, and the women’s 1500-meter medley relay team (Wang Hongmei, Wang Biyan, Guo Xixi, Zong Ran) secured fourth place.

In the faculty events, participating teachers showcased their skills impressively. The team claimed fourth place in the "Hundred Shots, Hundred Hits" competition, secured first place in group rope skipping, finished fifth in the women’s standing long jump, and took top honors in the women’s shot put.

To conclude, the School of Software Engineering’s student contingent was awarded the "Sportsmanship Award," while the faculty group claimed third place in the overall team standings. The sports meeting fully showcased the spirit of unity, collaboration, and striving for excellence among the school’s faculty and students, achieving a dual triumph in athletic performance and spiritual civilization.

This sports meeting is not only a grand celebration of athletic competition but also a platform to demonstrate collective cohesion and shine a light on one’s strengths. Faculty and students of the School of Software Engineering will continue to embrace the spirit of teamwork, grit, and going the extra mile, keeping raising the bar in their future academic pursuits and professional endeavors while infusing the college’s development with youthful vitality.
