From 8 to 15 August 2025, Professor Abdelaziz Bouras from Lumière Lyon 2 University (France) visited the School of Software Engineering for a series of academic exchange activities. The visit was hosted by the School of Software Engineering, with Dean Wei wei attending the events and delivering welcome remarks.

During his stay, Professor Bouras met with faculty members to discuss cooperation in areas such as intelligent systems, digital transformation and international joint research. He gave focused presentations on European funding opportunities, including the application pathways and evaluation mechanisms of European Research Council (ERC) and related EU research programmes, providing practical guidance for teachers planning to apply for international projects.

The visit also included academic exchanges with young faculty and students, where Professor Bouras shared his experience in international collaboration, project management and graduate supervision, and answered questions on overseas study and joint PhD training.

This visit further strengthened ties between Lumière Lyon 2 University and the School of Software Engineering, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in joint research projects, talent cultivation and long-term academic partnership.
